Instagram serves nothing for private posts without an approved follower session. We never ask for your Instagram login, so we are always in the position of a logged-out visitor.
Open the link in a browser where you are signed out. If it does not load there, we cannot reach it either.
A carousel is one post with multiple attachments. We read the post and take its first video track rather than queueing an unpredictable number of files from a single paste.
There is no per-slide download yet. For a specific slide, the only option is a post that contains just that video.
Stories disappear 24 hours after posting, and close-friends Stories are never public. Once expired, the file is gone from Instagram entirely.
Only public Stories still within their 24-hour window can be saved. Act while it is live.
Instagram rotates the signed media URLs behind its player and changes its page structure often. An extractor that worked last week can break with no warning.
Retry once, then recopy the link fresh from the app. If every Instagram link fails, the extractor needs an update server-side.

Carousels are read as a single post and the first video is saved. Separate downloads for each slide are not available yet.
Only Stories that are publicly viewable, and only while they are still live. Once a Story expires after 24 hours it is gone from Instagram and cannot be fetched.
